Volunteer Tour Guide - Welcome to the Library Tours. This tour involves introducing visitors to the services, facilities, collections and history of the State Library Victoria.

League Library &
Archive

As part of my duties at the Victorian Bands' League, I have successfully created a small library and archive space at the VBL office. This has involved collating archival material, setting up an index, publishing material on Victorian Collections , making a workable physical space, assessing IT requirements, scanning and using digital storage, and building social media engagement. The long-term aim of this project is to preserve and publish VBL archival material for bands and band persons in Victoria as well as other interested parties. I have also sought to build networks with local, State and National institutions.

Yarra Libraries

As a component of my Master of Information Studies degree I undertook a practical work placement of three weeks at Yarra Libraries. The placement involved desk duties, attendance at events, home library visits, inclusion in general library programs and research time. A project on the history of brass bands in the City of Yarra was completed as part of this placement.

Teacher of Instrumental Music - Strings at Bentleigh Secondary College and Brunswick Secondary College where I am responsible for the school string ensembles and individual & group lessons.

2007-2017:

I was employed at Mt Eliza Secondary College (2007-2017), Dandenong High School (2009-2017) and McClelland College (2014-2017) as an Instrumental Music Teacher - Strings where I was responsible for the school string ensembles, individual & group lessons, music excursions, classroom demonstrations & ensemble tutoring. The students attended regional string events and performed at all school concerts.

1999 - 2009:

I was employed in various music teaching positions within schools and community music schools in Ballarat , Wagga Wagga (NSW), Albury/Wodonga , Bairnsdale and throughout metropolitan Melbourne
